There’s a lot to love for golf enthusiasts visiting the Caribbean, thanks to its wide variety of courses in beautiful resorts and settings.
One of the newest reasons to tee off: A partnership between the Dominican Republic’s Casa de Campo Resort & Villas and the TrackMan Virtual League, a tournament for amateur golfers that runs through April 30.
And that’s only the latest example of how the Caribbean entices golfers. Here are several noteworthy places around the Caribbean to test that swing.
Aruba
Aruba is home to two attractive golf courses: Tierra del Sol Resort & Golf, an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones II course on the northern end of the island with beautiful ocean and desert views, as well as a golf club offering clinics and lessons for every skill level; and The Links at Divi Aruba, a scenic, nine-hole facility where golfers can sharpen their skills at the Don Ross FeelGolf School and participate in weekly tournament play. Guests at any Divi Resort property enjoy preferred tee times, and Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort offers a Links at Divi Aruba golf package that includes accommodations in a Studio Suite.
Barbados
Luxury resort Sandy Lane, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is one of the most legendary places to golf in Barbados. It's home to three golf courses: The Old Nine, a nine-hole course that dates to 1961; The Country Club, an 18-hole course designed by Tom Fazio; and The Green Monkey, an 18-hole Fazio course partially set in an old limestone quarry.

Golfers in the Cayman Islands can test their skills at North Sound Golf Club, the destination’s only 18-hole course, which features an Aqua Driving Range that allows guests to hit floating golf balls. Those looking for upscale accommodations should consider The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, which offers an Escape Golf Package through May 30 that includes unlimited golf for two at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, a nine-hole course designed by Greg Norman.
Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic is home to more than two-dozen golf courses; among the most famous is Teeth of the Dog, a scenic stretch of green at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas. The 18-hole Pete Dye signature course features seven oceanfront holes. The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club, meanwhile, has two 18-hole golf courses: Corales Golf Club and La Cana Golf Club, both of which offer inspiring Caribbean views.
Puerto Rico
La isla del encanto (island of enchantment), Puerto Rico offers golf opportunities in various picturesque regions. On the north coast, Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve offers two golf courses at TPC Dorado Beach: the East Course and the Sugarcane Course.

The facility even offers wedding and celebration packages for those looking to add more green to their special events.
On Puerto Rico’s south coast, Hilton Ponce Golf & Casino Resort features a 27-hole championship course and a Golf Stay & Play package that includes unlimited golf with green fees and golf carts for two, as well as continental breakfast and welcome drinks.
St. Kitts and Nevis
Golfers in St. Kitts and Nevis often make reservations at Four Seasons Golf Club at Four Seasons Resort Nevis, West Indies — which has an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones II course — or Royal St. Kitts Golf Club, an 18-hole course graced with palm trees and water hazards on 10 holes.

Travelers looking for state-of-the-art, golf-related hotel amenities should be more than satisfied with the Topgolf Swing Suite at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, a on-site entertainment venue opened in September that features a virtual golf simulator with 80 courses. In St. Croix, meanwhile, The Buccaneer Beach and Golf Resort, part of the Trademark Collection by Wyndham, is home to an 18-hole course designed by Bob Joyce.
