The coming year will mark Costa Cruise Lines’ 60th year of
cruising. To celebrate, Costa will give one guest a six-stone
diamond necklace from Diamonds International on every sailing
departing from Fort Lauderdale during the 2007-2008 Caribbean
season from November through April.
Each week, a winner from both the Costa Fortuna and Costa
Mediterranea will be randomly selected by cabin number and
presented with a necklace from the Captain on the last night of the
cruise during the Roman Bacchanal festivities. Guests must be
present at the party to win.
The necklace was created by Diamonds International exclusively
for Costa and features six diamonds set in white gold, totaling a
half carat in size, and valued at $1,000.
“Our guests tell us just how memorable our cruises are for the
special brand of magic we create of bringing the love, laugher and
la dolce vita of Italy to life on our ships and for two lucky
guests each week, that experience will become even more memorable,”
said Lynn. C. Torrent, president and CEO of Costa Cruise Lines,
North America. “The excitement on the ships this season is sure to
be more incredible than ever as the week builds up to the final
evening of the cruise when guests discover whether they’ve won a
new diamond necklace.”
The cruise line’s Italian flair extends from Italian greetings
on the ship and Italian cooking lessons to the Roman Bacchanal,
where guests don togas to celebrate in the way of the Romans.
