Travel agents selling legendary voyages aboard Cunard Line’s
classic ocean liners, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth 2, now have
the opportunity to further increase their group sales with the
company’s enhanced 2007 Group Amenity Program. With more value for
each amenity point, agents will be able to accumulate points and
rewards for their group bookings, translating into benefits such as
bonus commissions, shipboard credits, room upgrades, complimentary
cocktail parties and other onboard perks.
Additionally, the new program offers reduced tour conductor
ratios, simplified group pricing and the added convenience of
booking groups electronically through Cunard’s POLAR Online, the
industry’s top-rated booking tool.
Last year Cunard introduced the program, which enables agents to
earn points for each group contract booking, with much success,
“Building on the positive response to the Group Amenity Program,
we’ve listened to agents’ suggestions and incorporated them with
these new enhancements, such as doubled amenity values. For
example, agents can now promote onboard credits of up to $150 for
their clients when booking higher categories such as QM2 Balcony,
QE2 Caronia and Cunard’s renowned Grill accommodations,” said Jan
Swartz, senior vice president of sales and customer service for
Cunard Line.
The enhanced program makes it easier to add shipboard credits
and bonus commissions to group promotions; group pricing has been
simplified through a now-standard 5 percent discount with Early
Booking Savings in group-available categories. Low group fares are
available to all agents
who block a minimum of 10 guests.
