Oceania Cruises’ new Vista — the first of two 67,000-gross ton, 1,200-passenger Allura class ships — is set to launch in 2023, and the upscale line has revealed several of the vessel’s signature spaces.
“Our guests have a passion for new experiences and destinations, while also loving to travel to familiar places and seeing them from new directions,” said Bob Binder, president and CEO of Oceania, in a press release. “That drove every aspect of designing Vista, to present a sense of familiarity imbued with unique elements and fresh perspectives.”
Clients can look forward to venues including The Grand Staircase, which has been described by the cruise line as providing “a welcome unlike any other.” Showcased at its core will be a floor-to-ceiling column of illuminated crystal. The Grand Lounge, on the other hand, will be outfitted with cozy seating alcoves perfect for relaxing before or after dinner. Meanwhile, the Horizons observation lounge will feature floor-to-ceiling windows where guests can enjoy panoramic views, afternoon tea service and live music.
The classic Martinis bar will also be reimagined with abundant glass and additional sculptural lighting, while the Casino and Casino Bar will be enhanced with golden tones and an art nouveau aesthetic.
Lastly, the pool deck will be “a tranquil oasis” complete with beach-club cabanas, and the Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center will highlight traditional treatment areas, workout spaces, a salon and a barbershop, as well as an inviting outdoor terrace.
Following Vista, a second Allura-class ship is scheduled to arrive in 2025.
