After being in the luxury cruise business for nearly 30 years, it’s hard to imagine how Silversea Cruises can continue to impress its loyal fans and inspire new ones. But such a formidable feat is achieved with flying colors thanks to Silver Dawn, the company’s 10th luxury vessel, launched in April 2022. With a capacity for 596 guests, Silver Dawn is nearly identical to its predecessors, Silver Muse and Silver Moon.
Onboard Features and Amenities
Silversea’s hallmark is an understated luxury — there are no soaring atriums, miles of marble and glittering chandeliers onboard. Silver Dawn is decorated in an elegant style without being flashy. The public venues are spacious with lots of seating, and aside from the headline shows in the Venetian Lounge, passengers will not find a room full of people anywhere. The most popular meeting place is the Dolce Vita lounge with its large circular bar, but the Panorama Lounge is another option for pre-dinner drinks and music.
There is plenty of outdoor space, as well. A large pool, two hot tubs (plus another on the aft deck), a jogging track, ample lounge chairs and double sunbeds grace the sun deck. Attentive deck stewards are quick to bring beverages and cold towels.
Entertainment onboard Silver Dawn is small scale, with a classical pianist, a guitarist and a jazz duo performing in various lounges. But the true star for Silversea is its focus on exploring destinations — evident in Silver Dawn’s carefully designed itineraries — with ships often staying late or overnighting in ports.
Silver Dawn Restaurants
When it comes to gastronomy, Silver Dawn goes big, boasting eight dining venues. In addition to the main restaurant, Atlantide, La Terrazza serves breakfast and buffet-style lunch and becomes an Italian trattoria in the evenings. La Dame features haute French cuisine, Kaiseki offers fine Japanese, and Silver Note is a supper club with musical entertainment. Casual eateries include the poolside grill, Spaccanapoli pizzeria and the Arts Cafe. All restaurants are complimentary except for La Dame and Kaiseki, which charge $60 and $40 per person for dinner, respectively.

Designed to bring guests closer to the destinations they visit through gastronomy, S.A.L.T. highlights regional cuisine and wines via menus from the S.A.L.T. Kitchen restaurant, signature cocktails at the S.A.L.T. Bar, cooking classes in the S.A.L.T. Lab and gastronomic experiences through S.A.L.T. shore excursions.
Otium Spa and Wellness
The newest concept launched onboard Silver Dawn is “Otium - The Original Art of Comfort.” Inspired by the Romans who perfected the philosophy of wellness and indulgence, Otium focuses on a journey of pampering and relaxation. The sumptuous in-suite experience includes a candle-lit bath drawn by the butler with a choice of Sicilian bath salts, complete with classical music, Champagne and a decadent treat. Guests can also indulge in the upgraded room service menu that features truffle fries, a foie gras burger, caviar and a lobster roll.
Guests will find an enlarged Otium Spa on Silver Dawn.

And a post-treatment visit to the relaxation lounge for a refreshing cocktail and gourmet nibbles provides the finishing touch that caps off the whole experience.
The all-inclusive nature of Silversea was further elevated this year when private transfers between the guest’s home and airport and a complimentary excursion at every port were introduced as part of the “Door to Door” program. For discerning clients looking for impeccable service, culinary excellence and the ultimate pampering experience, Silver Dawn will deliver as promised.
