SPOTLIGHT: OAHU
1.8: Elvis' Rockin' Birthday. Year-round, the King takes the stage at Rock-A-Hula courtesy of a dynamic Elvis impersonator. On Presley's birthday, however, the Waikiki show presents a special tribute to the legendary performer with dinner packages and souvenir scarfs for all.

HAWAII ISLAND
1.1-9: Waimea Ocean Film Festival. This immersive, inspiring experience provides insights into all things maritime through movie screenings, panel discussions, exhibits, receptions, yoga on the beach and outrigger canoe lessons. Events take place in Waimea and at several Kohala Coast Resorts.

1.20: Kokua Kailua. During this monthly marketplace in historic Kailua Village, Alii Drive turns away cars and invites pedestrians into the street. Clients stroll past booths featuring island art, crafts and tastes, while a free concert pays tribute to Hawaiian royalty.

KAUAI
1.4: Hanapepe Art Night. Locals love to wrap up the week with a party, and every Friday evening, this Hanapepe town does the honors. Clients mingle with shop owners, meet artists, sample foods and tap their toes to live music.

1.5: Resolution Run Kauai. This all-ages 5K offers a fun way to explore the new public trails of Lihue’s Hokuala Resort. Participants get a workout and enjoy pretty views along the way. Proceeds support adult and youth programs on the island.

MAUI
1.2: Masters of Hawaiian Music. Each Wednesday night, Napili Kai Beach Resort comes alive with shows by some of Hawaii’s top performers. January’s stars include Mark Yamanaka, Sonny Lim, Kawika Kahiapo and Nathan Aweau, hosted by entertainer George Kahumoku Jr.

1.2-6: Sentry Tournament of Champions. Kapalua Resort’s Plantation Course sets a picturesque backdrop for this nationally televised event, the year’s first big pro golf contest. Clients line the fairways and cheer for favorite players, including defending champ Dustin Johnson.
