With meetings on the rise in Hawaii, Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is tapping that growing market by providing airfare credit for 2016 group bookings.
The hotel is promising up to $100 per person in air credit for corporate groups that book a four-night stay at the hotel before Sept. 30, 2015. Meetings must take place in 2016., and air credit is applied to the group master account.
According to a Hawaii Tourism Authority study, meetings heading to Hawaii are up 1.5 percent this year over 2014.
“We are offering this incentive in order to increase our 2016 group room nights during 2015,” said John Hawley, director of sales for Hilton Hawaiian Village. “This is a great opportunity for travel agents who assist groups with bookings.”
As an extra sales tool, agents can tell their corporate clients about the newly renovated group facilities at Hilton Hawaiian Village. The resort features 150,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, including the largest private grass lawn on Waikiki Beach.
“In the past several years, we have renovated our Coral Ballroom, main lobby, Bali Steak & Seafood restaurant, Paradise Lounge and Tapa Bar,” Hawley said. “We recently completed a total makeover of the Diamond Head Tower guestrooms and are nearing completion of the Tapa Conference Center, which includes the Tapa Ballroom.”
