A Waikiki landmark since 1927, The Royal Hawaiian is broadening its appeal with the opening of Mailani Tower, the reinvented high-rise wing of the luxury hotel.
Formerly the Royal Tower, the 17-story structure underwent a multimillion-dollar upgrade that resulted in the creation of a Mailani-only guest reception area and a new first-floor lounge with pool views. Tower guests get free daily continental breakfast and evening pupus (appetizers) and drinks, including a nightly signature cocktail. A dedicated concierge staff stands ready to customize the guest experience.
The aim of the tower is to bring The Royal Hawaiian experience to a new generation of guests, according to Cheryl Williams, general manager of the hotel. Through Dec. 25, clients can book a package that includes up to $200 in resort credit per stay.
