Hawaii World offers clients a bevy of
amenities at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki.
Hawaii World president Mary Twist firmly believes in giving agents
as many tools as possible to help them sell the islands.
“We’re all about helping agents offer their clients things that
no other company does,” said Twist.
An example is the wholesaler’s exclusive program with Avis,
allowing clients to bypass car rental check-in lines. Online
pre-registration speeds the process on Maui, where arriving clients
are driven directly from the airport to their cars. On the Big
Island, a quick shuttle ride leads them to the Avis lot, where an
agent hands them their keys and contract. On Kauai, passengers walk
from baggage claim to the Avis counter for instant key and contract
retrieval.
Hawaii World’s Web site, redesigned last year, provides agents
with a direct link to all of the its promotions, such as its recent
two-for-one air special from the West Coast.
“Our goal is to integrate our site with the travel agent’s
personal touch, so clients don’t feel the need to stray to other
sites that have booking engines,” said Twist.
Agents can only benefit from keeping abreast of Hawaii World’s
many value-added resort offers, said Twist.
Hawaii World and parent company Pleasant Holidays enjoy a
privileged relationship with the Diamond Level at the Hyatt Regency
Waikiki. Currently, clients get the third night free on that level,
which includes access to a concierge floor and a bevy of
amenities.
Also on Oahu, Hawaii World’s current Triple Value promotion at
the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa comes with five
nights in Kalia Tower mountain-view accommodations, a guaranteed
one-category room upgrade, $50 dining credit and private taxi
transfers. The cost of $797 per person, double occupancy, is good
on travel through Dec. 25.
At the Hyatt Regency Maui, clients get the third night free in
an oceanfront room and breakfast for two (April-June and Aug-Dec.).
When booking the Sheraton Maui between April 20 and May 25, they
receive the third night free in an oceanview category or higher,
daily breakfast for two and a room upgrade.
When participating in Hawaii World’s Travel Reward Incentive
Plan (TRIP), the perks add up quickly because Pleasant Holidays
bookings also apply. For every $10 in commissionable sales with
either wholesaler, agents earn one point. As they accumulate
points, agents can turn them in for travel and cash rewards. Agents
have up to two years to redeem points, and they often have the
chance to earn bonus points.
“TRIP is more advantageous than most rewards programs,” said
Twist.
