Top 6 Vow Renewals at Oahu Hotels

Blessed with a sensual natural environment, Oahu inspires passion. In response, its hotels are channeling the island’s beauty with enticing options for vow renewals. Whether couples want a big party or seek a quiet spot to affirm their love, properties around Oahu are going the extra mile to make the magic happen.

Some hotels feature programs specifically created for vow renewals, while others tailor a wedding package to a couple’s needs. From the setting to the sentiment, the following Oahu resorts do their best to help couples stoke the flames.

Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina
For vow renewals at this west Oahu luxury getaway, the staff recommends the Kealoha package, which provides an officiate, a bouquet for the bride, a lei for the groom, a photographer and music by a soloist. Couples work with a Four Seasons coordinator to craft their ideal celebration.

The favored location for the Kealoha package is Pohaku Point. It’s a palm-fringed oceanfront peninsula offering spectacular views for saying “I Do” once more with feeling.

Halekulani
At this Waikiki oasis, many couples opt for an intimate in-suite vow renewal. For larger gatherings with family and friends, the hotel offers a garden courtyard or terrace setting. Either way, the staff collaborates closely with the couple, just as they would for a wedding.

Guests also can book a vow renewal version of Halekulani’s Maile Affair wedding package, featuring a long list of indulgences from couple spa treatments to champagne.

Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa
The hotel’s Suites Set Sail package appeals to twosomes looking to restate their vows in style. It comes with two nights in the presidential suite, but the highlight is a private yacht cruise. Couples set sail and recommit to each other during the glow of sunset. Afterward, a chef whips up a dreamy meal for two at sea.

The package can be tweaked with add-ons such as onboard massages and live Hawaiian music.

Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort
Despite the size of this expansive Waikiki resort, couples can keep things intimate during an informal, 10-minute vow renewal ceremony called The Akala. Offered on weekday afternoons, it takes place in the property’s sun-filled chapel. It’s a simple and meaningful way for pairs to re-pledge their troth.

Included are a certificate, photos, orchid leis, a minister, an organist, a soloist and coordination by a member of the Hilton team.

Outrigger Resorts
The hotelier casts back to ancient Hawaii during its weekly vow renewals, offered free to guests of the Outrigger Waikiki and Outrigger Reef Waikiki resorts. The morning ceremony takes inspiration from the rising sun, symbolizing not only a new day but a new chapter for the couple.

Calling on local traditions and language, the ceremony features chants, a sea-water blessing, island music and dance and a certificate commemorating the moment.

Turtle Bay Resort
The Maleana vow renewal package promises a low-key service that reflects its mellow surroundings. Most couples choose to hold it at a beach venue, and each member of the duo will receive a lei with either white orchids or maile leaves. The package includes dinner at the resort’s Paakai restaurant.

Thanks to its remote location on Oahu’s rural North Shore, Turtle Bay guarantees privacy throughout the ceremony.
