The adults-only resort swimming pools in Hawaii are sanctuaries for travelers in a child-free mood.

While kids are firing cannonballs over at the family pools, a handful of hotels have areas where mature guests can dip, sip, read and chat with a loved one. Attendants stop by with chilled towels, refreshments and spritzes, with extras ranging from massages to swim-up mai tais.

Located at the following resorts are some of Hawaii’s best pools designed especially for grown-ups.

Andaz Maui at Wailea, Maui
Located by Andaz’s spa, the freshwater Tranquility pool sits apart from the hotel’s other pools. Attentive staffers satisfy guests with amenities including cool towels and ice water. Clients who rent cabanas get a morning and afternoon food plate.
