AMResorts has announced that it will officially debut the adults-only Secrets Marquis Los Cabos in November, giving agents the opportunity to book the property — formerly the Marquis Los Cabos — as an all-inclusive vacation option for their clients.
AMResorts has had a presence in the region with Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa and Zoetry Casa Del Mar Los Cabos, but the introduction of Secrets Marquis Los Cabos represents the Secrets brand’s entry into Los Cabos. AMResorts began property operations on Oct. 9, after making the necessary adjustments to bring the property up to the brand’s Unlimited-Luxury standards. A full rebranding will take effect on Nov. 1. AMResorts decided to recast the Marquis Los Cabos resort as a Secrets, rather than a Zoetry, branded property. Zoetry Wellness & Spa Resorts are boutique resorts in size with 199 rooms or less, while Secrets Marquis Los Cabos has 235 suites. Additionally, with Dreams Los Cabos and Zoetry Casa del Mar already offered in Los Cabos, AMResorts determined that a Secrets property would be a greater addition to the destination, offering a unique, adults-only Unlimited-Luxury product for guests.
Guests of the new resort will now enjoy the benefits of Secrets Resorts & Spas’ signature Unlimited-Luxury vacation concept, which offers unlimited access to gourmet a la carte dining and premium beverage brands, 24-hour room and concierge services, daytime activities, live evening entertainment and fitness facilities. The resort is offering a special holiday rate of $379 per person, per night, for travel between Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. The resort will also be offering special travel agent rates. The regular travel agent rate will be 30 percent off the best available rate, while AMResorts’ Master Agents will receive 50 percent off the best available rate.
The adults-only resort provides prime views of the coast’s golden-sand beaches as well as the Sea of Cortez. Guests also have close access to golf at Cabo del Sol, San Jose del Cabo as well as destination landmarks such as El Arco, Land’s End and Lover’s Beach. The resort is located 25 minutes from the Los Cabos International Airport.
The resort’s 235 rooms range from private poolside villas to oceanfront suites. They’re designed with contemporary Mexican furnishings and distinctive oil-paintings and dressed in rich, imported linens.
Secrets Marquis Los Cabos features five restaurants, a signature Coco Cafe and three bars. Additionally, guests have access to a range of activities including land and water sports as well as daily special events such as movies on the beach, dance classes, nightly shows and evening entertainment.
The resort’s 15,000 square-foot spa has a fully equipped fitness center, a steam room and hot tubs that overlook the Sea of Cortez. The facility features a variety of hydrotherapy rooms and signature treatments. The spa also features a full-service beauty salon offering hair treatments, waxing and manicure and pedicure services.
The resort has a range of meeting spaces, including the 6,500 square foot Mar de Cortes Ballroom. Secrets Marquis Los Cabos provides special amenities for weddings that include a wedding gazebo. Wedding, honeymoon and anniversary packages are also available.
