Colorado-based Eleven Experience has opened Chalet Pelerin, its new five-bedroom luxury chalet in Le Miroir, a picturesque village tucked into a hillside of the Tarentaise valley in the Savoie region of the French Alps.
“We are pioneers in the experiential travel industry — combining our own properties with expert guides and teams of highly trained staff allows for a highly bespoke travel experience,” said Eleven Experience’s director of marketing, Jenny Jeffery.
Chalet Pelerin accommodates guests with four luxurious en-suite rooms, in addition to a fully outfitted bunk bed suite, an indoor saltwater pool, a Finnish sauna, a steam room and an outdoor whirlpool. A sommelier and private chef is on hand to create custom gourmet meals and wine pairings.
In winter, Eleven’s team of guides works with each group to create custom ski safaris offering a wide array of terrain. The objective is to provide a true perspective of what it’s like to ski the Alps. The nearby resort town of Sainte Foy lies in the foothills of Mount Blanc; Italy is only a gondola ride away and a short hike leads to a 4,000-foot descent right back to the front door of the Chalet. As an added bonus, guests can enjoy helicopter skiing via front-door pickup from the chalet. In spring and summer, the Tarentaise Valley offers mountaineering, hut trekking and mountain biking.
Nightly rates for the Chalet Pelerin begin at $12,500 per group, based on a 10-person occupancy, and inclusive of accommodations, meals, outdoor gear, airport transfer and all guided activities, with the exception of heli-skiing.
Later this year, Eleven will open the Edington Priory in Wilshire, the U.K., a working organic farm situated two hours from London. Edington will offer farm-to-table dining with ingredients sourced directly from the property, as well as outdoor activities like canoeing and kayaking on a private lake and guided pheasant hunts in the best English country house style.
