More than 100 dignitaries celebrated a Maui milestone at the recent opening of the Courtyard Maui Kahului Airport, the first Courtyard property on the island and the fourth in the brand’s Hawaii portfolio.
Located less than one mile from Kahului Airport, the four-story hotel provides a free airport shuttle service.
“With its location here in Kahului and close proximity to Wailuku, Paia and upcountry Maui, (the hotel) is going to be a big hit with business and vacation travelers,” said Chris Tatum, vice president of Marriott International Hawaii.
A user-friendly lobby replaces the traditional check-in counter with welcome podiums to allow for more personal and private interactions with arriving guests. The lobby features the exclusive Courtyard interactive GoBoard, a 57-inch LCD touch screen with local information, maps, weather and news, business and sports headlines.
The new hotel offers 138 rooms including four extended stay suites. Guestrooms come with complimentary Wi-Fi access and broadband Internet access. The hotel also offers a business center and 1,663 square feet of meeting space, including a boardroom. Guests can enjoy healthy menu options for breakfast and light evening fare at the Bistro Restaurant.
Other property features include an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool and 24-hour accessible fitness center, fully equipped with modern cardio and strength equipment, as well as a lounge and bar, a gazebo, a guest laundry, a surfboard storage building and a 24/7 market with snacks and refreshments.
In honor of the opening, the hotel is offering travelers a special introductory rate of $179 per night. The offer is good through Oct. 31.
