Dining at RumFire Poipu Beach has evolved into a feel-good experience for several reasons. For the past two years the signature restaurant at Sheraton Kauai Resort has been earning accolades for such specialties as mango mojitos, crab-crusted catch of the day and coconut and pineapple tart. More recently, however, it has been winning votes for its big heart as well. In an initiative called You Dine, We Donate, the eatery donates nightly net proceeds from food and beverage orders at its Table 53 to non-profit organizations. Since the program’s inception in October 2012, it has raised a total of $46,794 benefitting Kauai United Way, American Red Cross and Kauai’s Humane Society, Food Bank and Lifeguard Association.
