Hilton Ups the Ante in Hawaii

Mar 04, 2008

The Hilton Family of hotels and resorts in Hawaii is giving clients more options to choose from in the 2008 Hilton HHonors Mahalo program. With the addition of two Hilton Grand Vacations Club resorts to the program, eight properties in Hawaii now let guests earn 10,000 HHonors bonus points and double airline miles.

HHonors members can select from such favorites as the Hilton Waikoloa Village on Hawaii’s Big Island, Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa on Waikiki Beach and The Doubletree Alana Hotel-Waikiki a trio welcoming guests to the islands for decades.

Recently added to the family are the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort on the island of Kauai and the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio and Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk on Oahu. And debuting in this year’s Mahalo program are the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Hilton Hawaiian Village and Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Waikoloa Beach Resort.

“The Mahalo program is one of many different packages Hilton properties in Hawaii offer to potential future Hawaii visitors, providing them with a motivation to visit and stay with one of our Hilton properties in Hawaii,” said Jon Conching, regional vice president of sales and marketing for Hilton Hawaii.

“We recognize that loyalty programs are important to travelers and the Mahalo program specifically rewards guests with 10,000 Hilton HHonors bonus points and double miles with the airline loyalty program of their preference,” Conching said. “Hilton will continue offering quality programs such as this and others, and feel comfortable in knowing that visitors will be satisfied with their vacation experiences in Hawaii.”

In addition to the 10,000 HHonors bonus points and double miles, guests at every hotel will also receive a complimentary plush spa-style bathrobe valued at $85.

Nightly room rates are from $169 at the Doubletree Alana Hotel-Waikiki, $189 at the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort, $229 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio, $249 at the Hilton Waikoloa Village and $269 at Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk. Rates start at $249 for a studio at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Hilton Hawaiian Village and $519 for a two-bedroom suite at Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Waikoloa Beach Resort.

Rates are subject to availability and do not include taxes, gratuities or other incidental charges. Hilton HHonors membership earning of Points & Miles, and redemption of points are subject to HHonors Terms and Conditions.

The offer is valid until May 31 on stays of four or more consecutive nights and is based on availability. It’s Hilton’s way of saying mahalo nui loa (thank you very much) to its loyal HHonors members.

Hilton HHonors is a guest reward program that gives frequent travelers a faster way to earn rewards. Enrolled members can Double Dip to earn HHonors points and airline miles for the same stay, at nearly any rate, at more than 2,800 participating Hilton, Conrad, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hampton Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Grand Vacations, Homewood Suites by Hilton and The Waldorf-Astoria Collection hotels around the world.

“Hilton views its repeat customer as its most important customer, whether they are traveling on business in New York City, on vacation in Hawaii, or attending a conference in Shanghai, China,” Conching said. “To that end, Hilton provides excellent benefits and frequent travel advantages in its Hilton HHonors guest reward program. The HHonors program, with its unmatched flexibility, generosity and value, has been recognized with numerous travel industry awards. And Hilton's ongoing advancements in Customer Recognition Management reinforces the focus and value of repeat guest satisfaction.”

Membership in HHonors is free. Travelers may enroll online by visiting hiltonfamily.com. Or, to enroll instantly in the program and make reservations, consumers in the U.S. and Canada may call 1-800-HHONORS or log on to hiltonhonors.com to sign up and receive an account number. Travelers also may enroll at any participating brand property listed above.
