Resort Hotel & Spa
As the Prince-ville Resort on Kauai moves toward rebranding as a
St. Regis, the property is closing for renovations Sept. 19 and
reopening April 19, 2009.
“Recent economic conditions have impacted our business levels,
prompting our decision,” said Princeville Resort general manager
Kelly Hoen. “This approach will not only complete the renovation
faster, but also get our associates back to work sooner.”
The multi-million-dollar project includes a redesign of all 252
guestrooms and meeting function space, renovated public areas from
the lobby to the swimming pool, new restaurant concepts, redesigned
exterior landscaping, the addition of an on-site luxury spa and the
incorporation of signature St. Regis butler service.

place during the day so guest inconvenience is minimized.”
Rooms feature free Wi-Fi, high-speed Internet and 32-inch,

Sheraton Waikiki
The lobby of the Sheraton Waikiki feels like Surf City these days
thanks to Discover Surf, a new interactive surf simulator providing
an unconventional way to hang ten. A 60-inch plasma television
displays a massive wave on screen, while a surfboard that’s
connected via wireless technology makes clients feel like they’re
maneuvering a 30-foot wave amid great white sharks.
“Discover Surf allows people who have never surfed before a
chance to feel the thrill of riding a wave,” said Sheraton Waikiki
general manager Kelly Sanders. Open daily, except Tuesday and
Saturday from 3-5 p.m., it’s free for Sheraton Waikiki guests.
