Emphasizing privacy, indulgence and health, a program called Maui Personal Spa Holidays is providing clients with personalized wellness vacations on the Valley Isle.
Each spa holiday begins with creation of a profile and nutritional assessment identifying a client’s needs, followed by the creation of an integrated program to achieve results, whether for rejuvenation, detox or weight management. Programs take place in the client’s private accommodations and include a wide selection of spa treatments, as well as traditional Asian and Ayurvedic therapies, yoga, Bindi Shirodhara, hot stone therapies and customized meal plans.
The program is a collaboration between chef Sabra Ricci, alternative medicine editor Cathy Wong and Tropical Villa Vacations.

Ricci, a graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, has gained acclaim over the years for her detox cuisine. Her clientele ranges from Fortune 500 executives to Hollywood A-listers including Orlando Bloom, Courteney Cox, Julia Roberts, Tobey Maguire, Cher, Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy.
Wong is a licensed naturopathic doctor and nutritionist. She served as the co-author and consulting chef for a book called The Inside Out Diet, which features 50 of her nutritious recipes.
