New Azul Fives Hotel by Karisma to Debut in November

Oct 08, 2010

The Azul Fives Hotel by Karisma is scheduled to open this November in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The new property is Azul Hotel’s third property joining the company’s two other properties, Azul Sensatori Hotel, which opened in November 2008, and Azul Beach Hotel, which opened in December 2005.

One of the highlights of the new property is its one-, two- and three-bedroom suites, which range in size from 1,125 square feet to 1,900 square feet. These suites, along with the Penthouse Suites — which offer a unique, 1,300-square-foot private rooftop lounge deck — make the resort a great choice for multigenerational or group travel.

“The way Azul Fives Hotel by Karisma’s rooms are set up means that the hotel offers a great bonding experience that many hotels don’t offer today,” said Mandy Chomat, vice president of sales and marketing at Premier Worldwide Marketing.

The tastefully decorated suites feature air conditioning, LCD flat-screen televisions with DVD players, minibars stocked daily, marble bathrooms with rain showers, deluxe bathrobes and overstocked balconies and terraces.

The penthouse suites, which can accommodate up to eight adults, feature a private rooftop lounge that features a whirlpool, a sectional sofa, a coffee table, chaise lounges, an outdoor shower, a barbecue and more, guests will receive daily breakfast on their outdoor deck. These suites are ideal for large gatherings, groups, families or weddings. Clients can host gatherings and have food brought in to be cooked or barbecued. Additionally, they can have food from any of Azul’s restaurants brought to the suite for an event.

“One of the best features about this property is that it is not only multigenerational, but it is multipurpose,” said Chomat.

In addition to the resort’s functional suites, amenities available under Azul Fives’ Gourmet Inclusive plan include meals at any of the property’s four restaurants; all local and international alcoholic an non-alcoholic beverages; 24-hour room service; a fitness center; a sauna; a steam room; a DVD rental menu; snorkeling and kayaking; a full-service concierge; daily and nightly entertainment; and access to the Kid’s Club, which features Fisher-Price toys and performances by the Fisher-Price Little People, as well as My Gym Children’s Fitness Center activities. Parents with small children also have access to complimentary Pack & Play cribs, changing tables, strollers, baby monitors, bottle warmers, baby spa robes and Gerber baby food.

Like the Azul Sensatori Hotel by Karisma, cuisine is a main focus of the resort.

Our Gourmet Inclusive program sets us apart, and we are known for our service and our food,” said Chomat. “We try to stay ahead of the trends when it comes to cuisine.”

Senses will feature a tailor-made, private dining experience for guests. The eight-course meal, which is free for guests, will differ every evening and is designed to take guests on a unique culinary journey.

The resort will also feature Sea Olive, a seaside restaurant serving Mediterranean-style cuisine; Tsuki, which offers food from the Pacific Rim; and Flavors, a family-style dining experience.

Another highlight of the resort is Zky, a sky bar and lounge serving the latest cocktail trends with a view of the Caribbean. The resort will also feature beachfront, poolside and swim-up bars.

Other amenities at the resort include its 15,000-square-foot, zen-inspired Vassa Spa offering couple’s massage suites, a hydrotherapy area, a relaxation lounge, bridal and kids suites, as well as wedding packages.

Rates at Azul Fives Hotel start at $235 per person, per night. Guests who book a Gourmet Inclusive vacation at the hotel by Oct. 31 for stays Nov. 1 through Jan. 2, 2011, will receive 30 percent off, including stays during the holidays.
