Located on a three-mile stretch of beach on Kauai’s Coconut Coast,
the Radisson Kauai Beach Resort has introduced a new package
designed for travelers who want to explore the undersea world in
Kauai’s tropical waters and obtain their scuba certification.
In conjunction with Wet-N-Wonderful Ocean Sports Inc.,
Radisson’s Kauai Scuba Adventure Package combines hotel
accommodations and amenities with a scuba certification program for
novice divers.
The five-night package includes deluxe accommodations, PADI
scuba certification program for two people, airport shuttle
transportation, an invitation to a nightly Manager’s Cocktail
Party, nightly torch-lighting ceremony with Polynesian dance show
and complimentary tennis on the hotel’s four courts. Based on
double occupancy, the five-night plan is priced from $1,195 for two
through Dec. 20.
“Kauai has one of the top six dive spots in the world according
to Outside magazine,” said Tom Bartlett, director of sales and
marketing for the Radisson Kauai Beach Resort. “So it’s an
experience divers don’t want to miss.”
Opening in 1986, Wet-N-Wonderful specializes in first-time dive
experiences. The company provides scuba training and certification
at all levels, but also offers a range of other scuba services,
including shore dives for certified divers.
The PADI Certification Course offered on the Kauai Scuba
Adventure Package lasts three to five days and includes an
introductory ocean dive, instruction and study based on the PADI
open-water manual, underwater training in a confined area, then
four open-water dives. A satisfactory score on the 50-question
final exam is required in order to obtain a PADI Open Water
Certification.
“Also between Aug. 25 and Oct. 15, we have a special for couples
meaning any two people traveling together,” Bartlett explained. “If
they book select activities, they’ll receive a 50 percent discount
off the second person’s activity. This can be booked through
participating wholesalers or with the property directly.”
Bartlett added that this “Couples Special” can be combined with
other packages and promotions, including the Kauai Scuba Adventure
Package.
Bartlett invites travel professionals to contact him directly at
[email protected] if they have questions regarding the
scuba package, couples package or travel agent incentives offered
by the Radisson Kauai Beach Resort.
“I also have ‘Tom’s Tips,’ which contains information on dining
and great beaches around the island,” said Bartlett. “So agents can
feel free to contact me about anything on Kauai and the
Radisson.”
The 25-acre beachfront Radisson Kauai Beach Resort features 340
rooms, seven suites, complete meeting and banquet facilities, three
restaurants, boutique spa and fitness center, tennis courts, and
“super pool” complex with three swimming pools set amidst
waterfalls and grottoes, and a fourth pool featuring a sandy
bottom.
