Families are in for even more fun this summer with ResortQuest
Hawaii. Formerly known as Aston Hotels & Resorts, the company
has launched its “KeikiQuest Kids Club” summer children’s program
at the ResortQuest Waikiki Sunset.
The new program offers daytime activities for children to educate
them about Hawaii’s culture, its unique marine and land
environments, and Hawaiian arts and crafts.
Available through Sept. 4, the KeikiQuest Kids Club was created as
a convenience for travelers with young children during Oahu’s peak
summer family vacation period. It allows parents to enjoy “grownup”
activities during the day while kids interact with their own
peers.
“Family-oriented guest services such as this are very important to
a number of our guests,” explained Kelvin Bloom, president of
ResortQuest Hawaii. “Our goal is not only to offer the children of
family travelers more to do on Oahu. Through ResortQuest Hawaii’s
‘Our Hawaii, Your Way’ style of island experiences, we offer kids
the opportunity to learn about the Islands from an educational
hands-on perspective, while still having fun.”
Housed in a specially designated KeikiQuest Kids Club room on the
pool deck level of the ResortQuest Waikiki Sunset, the program is
open to children ages 5 -12 staying at any of ResortQuest Hawaii’s
11 Oahu resorts. Daily programs run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and include
lunch and a snack as part of the $45 daily (plus tax) fee per
child.
Kids are engaged with a variety of indoor hands-on activities and
outdoor experiential excursions scheduled during morning and
afternoon sessions. The week-long agenda is packed with everything
from lei making, hula, song and ukulele lessons to cultural hikes,
surfing, reef discovery walks and catamaran rides.
Off-site activities take participants to top island attractions,
such as Bishop Museum and its new Science Adventure Center, Waikiki
Aquarium, Waikiki LuCoral Museum, Sea Life Park and the Honolulu
Zoo.
ResortQuest Hawaii has partnered with Kamaaina Kids, Hawaii’s
preeminent leader in childcare and after-school A+ programs, to
create the new KeikiQuest program. Kamaaina Kids staff, who are
certified in First Aid, CPR and Lifeguard training, operate the
facility and oversee its daily schedule.
Hawaii’s largest operator of suites, resort condominiums and
hotels, ResortQuest Hawaii features 28 properties and 5,000 rooms
on the four major Hawaiian Islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai and
Hawaii.
