November is looking up for Riu. With the opening of the Riu
Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, the company will see an increase in
its Mexico inventory to 6,035. The five-star property will feature
550 deluxe guestrooms and suites incorporating the All-Inclusive by
Riu concept.

resort in Mexico,” remarked Luis Riu, chairman and owner of Riu
Hotels & Resorts. “In the coming months, Riu Vallarta will open
its doors, affirming our deep commitment to this magical
destination and offering our guests an even greater array of unique
resort experiences to choose from in Mexico.”
The nine-story waterfront hotel will be located on renowned
Flamingo Beach within walking distance of Riu’s other popular
resort in Puerto Vallarta, the Riu Jalisco. The location is
convenient to the 18-hole Flamingos Golf Club and popular downtown
district.
Riu Vallarta will feature innovative art deco-style architecture,
stylish decor and a modern vibe perfectly suited to the wants and
needs of young, fashion-forward travelers.
True to the All-Inclusive by Riu concept, guests on property will
enjoy 24-hour food and beverages, as well as unlimited meals at
five gourmet restaurants. The resort’s main restaurant, Don Rafael,
will feature Mexican and international cuisine with hot and cold
dishes, live cooking stations, an assortment of salads and fresh
selections, desserts and special twice-a-week buffet theme
evenings.
Guests will also enjoy dinners at the resort’s theme restaurants.
From a la carte selections at Sir George and Asian specialties at
Nirvana, to fresh seafood at the Flamingo Playa restaurant and
prime cuts at Terrace Steakhouse, guests can indulge in an array of
culinary options. Riu Vallarta will also offer five unique bars
with charm and character all their own.
Recreation-wise, the resort will provide two swimming pools with
integrated Jacuzzis, a children’s swimming pool, play park,
mini-club, fitness center, sauna, plus a full-service spa featuring
a variety of beauty treatments, salon services and massages.
Riu Vallarta will also offer a complete activities program for
adults and children, complimentary watersports, theme shows and
live performances in the evening. Famed Pacha nightclub will remain
open until the wee hours of the morning, giving guests the chance
