Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Inc. announced that it will grow its New York City portfolio by 50 percent this year and open six new hotels in Manhattan, Long Island City and Brooklyn.
This summer marks the opening of the Sheraton Brooklyn New York Hotel and the W New York Downtown Hotel & Residences. Currently, there are four W hotels open in the metro area, and both the W New York and W New York Times Square recently completed renovations. Starwood’s NYC boom will also debut its two newest brands in Manhattan — Aloft and Element.
