Not content to rest on its laurels, the property opened a new tower late last year, as well as a classic French restaurant and additional meeting rooms. Each year, AAA tourism editors visit over 70,000 lodgings, campgrounds, restaurants and attractions throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean to conduct unannounced evaluations at luxury establishments. Less than one third of 1 percent of the 32,000-plus properties approved by AAA achieve this prestigious honor.

Just 15 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta in Nuevo Vallarta, the upscale resort features 267 one- and two-bedroom oceanview suites with private terraces, spacious Spa Suites in its new tower and a new three-bedroom Imperial Suite.
