Few & Far Luvhondo, a safari retreat in South Africa's Limpopo province, has launched the "Nature Has No Price Tag" campaign, which invites travelers to apply for the chance to stay at the property without a fixed nightly rate, using a pay-what-you-can model. The lodge, recently named one of Time's World's Greatest Places of 2025, is located in the remote Soutpansberg Mountains within UNESCO's Vhembe Biosphere Reserve.

The six-suite property operates as a carbon-negative, Verra Registered Carbon Project focused on conservation and habitat restoration. The initiative allows guests to experience the full lodge amenities while paying an amount they determine themselves, with stays supporting conservation work across the region.

"Travel isn't a frivolous indulgence — it's a vital act of connection," said Sarah Dusek, co-founder of Few & Far Luvhondo. "It nurtures our well-being, strengthens global empathy and fuels the preservation of our planet. We launched this initiative with the belief that when you truly experience a place, you begin to care — and when you care, you naturally want to give back. By removing cost as a barrier, we're making transformative, purpose-led travel more accessible without diluting its impact."

To participate, travelers complete an application specifying preferred dates, party size, their interest in the property and what they are able to contribute financially. Applications undergo rolling review, with accepted guests receiving the complete lodge experience.

The property's conservation efforts encompass regenerating more than 100,000 hectares of wilderness through ecological restoration, native reforestation and biodiversity protection, sequestering some 100,000 tons of carbon annually. Guest activities include game drives, bushwalks, e-bike excursions, cultural visits to Mapungubwe National Park and more.

Applications for the Nature Has No Price Tag campaign are available on the lodge's website, with the program representing what the operators describe as a reimagining of hospitality pricing models in the luxury travel sector.
