The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe has completed a comprehensive, two-year renovation project. Nearly all areas of the property have been transformed.

“After an extensive renovation, we’re thrilled to welcome new and returning guests to a new era of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe,” said Colin Perry, the resort's general manager. “Inspired by the natural beauty of the Sierra, this transformation not only enhances the stay experience but also deepens the connection between our guests and this marvelous land through purposeful design that reflects our magnificent surroundings.”

The redesign was led by Premier Design and Johnson Studios and includes updates to the resort’s guest accommodations, dining venues, public spaces and wellness areas.

All 170 guest rooms and suites have been redesigned with new furnishings and decor inspired by the surrounding forest and alpine terrain. Rooms feature natural textures, earth tones, and large windows with views of the forest, valley, or mountain slopes. The property’s Ritz-Carlton Residences, ranging from two to four bedrooms, also offer full kitchens, separate living areas, fireplaces and outdoor decks.

The new Living Room Lodge replaces the former lobby lounge and now features panoramic mountain views, a marble-topped U-shaped bar and a seasonal menu highlighting local ingredients.

Manzanita, the resort’s signature restaurant, has also undergone a major update. Designed with natural materials such as exposed stone and wood beams, the restaurant now features a central stone fireplace and a new bar area. The menu, developed by chef de cuisine Edgar Palau and executive chef Christopher Bean, includes items such as a 32-ounce dry aged cote de boeuf, fresh ahi tuna tiradito and a double cut heritage pork chop.

Among new guest amenities are two Topgolf Swing Suites, offering interactive sports simulators with options including golf, baseball and soccer. Each suite includes a private attendant and a food and beverage menu. Other additions include private firepits, luxury cabanas and the Alpine Exchange Boutique, a retail area that offers apparel and travel items.

The fitness center has been overhauled with Technogym equipment, five Peloton bikes, seven treadmills, four Stairmasters and a dedicated space for classes such as yoga and strength training. A new outdoor deck provides mountain views and space for relaxation.

The resort’s Lake Club will reopen this month for the summer season, offering direct beach access to North Shore Lake Tahoe, complimentary paddle boards and kayaks, boat rentals and shuttle service between the club and the main resort.
