AMResorts, a subsidiary of Apple Leisure Group, recently announced its intention to introduce a Sunscape Resorts & Spas property in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, this December. The new beachfront resort, Sunscape Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa, will be located near the El Malecon boardwalk, Plaza Caracol mall and the city’s international airport.
AMResorts will continue the Sunscape family brand’s Unlimited-Fun line of service, offering guests daily entertainment and 24-hour access to the six restaurants and bars at the property, as well of use of the Explorer’s Club for kids and spa facilities. Suites will overlook Banderas Bay and boast family-friendly features such as connecting rooms and children’s amenities.
With the creation of Sunscape Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa, AMResorts will have 30 properties in Mexico by the end of 2017, a testament to the country’s continuing popularity as a travel destination, especially for families.

The resort, owned by brothers Javier and Enrique Tapia Camou, is currently closed for refurbishment. The plans are to have 300 rooms, designed for families, couples and singles alike. The property will reopen in December.
