Hoteliers, tour operators, airline representatives and some 20 meeting and incentive planners participated in the three-day Fiesta Amigos de Mazatlan conference, which concluded Oct. 30 and was hosted in Mazatlan, Mexico.
In addition to participating in networking opportunities and site inspections, the approximately 150 attendees learned destination updates and improvements that have been introduced since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some companies chose to meet with partners virtually during the conference.
“We needed this event to happen in order to show our business partners that we are applying the highest standards of COVID-19 protocols to citizens and visitors,” said Oscar Perez Barros, Secretary of Tourism for the state of Sinaloa.
