Q: Can you tell us about the Villa Del Palmar Flamingo Resort?
A: The new property was inaugurated on Dec. 10, 2005, although
it had been in operation before. It is located in Nuevo Vallarta,
north of Puerto Vallarta, and we use the same airport for both
destinations. We have 225 rooms available in the all-suite
property, and every room includes a kitchenette and private
balcony. There is one huge pool that has three or four different
levels for kids, for adults, with waterfalls, fountains and a
wading pool. From this we have a very family-oriented environment.
In fact, we just won an award from Apple Vacations as one of the
top three properties for service.
Q: How is the spa arranged?
A: We have one partition for men and one for women, and each
side has a Jacuzzi and cold plunge. On the second level are the 14
treatment rooms. We have a full staff trained in European spa
techniques. In addition to that we have a couples-only package
called the Eros Massage, with treatment for the man and woman at
the same time. Background music and aromatherapy make this
extremely relaxing.
Q: Are there any treatments on the beach?
A: We have a treatment exclusive to couples that allows you to
be right on the beach. When you finish, there is dinner for two
also on the beach. This has been very successful and is in high
demand.
Q: Can non-guests use the spa?
A: We want to be exclusive for the spa, which is one more reason
for you to stay with us. But we do offer other options for
non-guests. We have a new convention space with many banquet rooms,
their capacities varying from 25 to 150. Guests use these for
banquets, meetings, lectures and cocktail parties, among other
things. These facilities are open also to outside guests.
Q: Do other resorts in your area offer this?
A: No they don’t. That’s why we offer it to guests of other
resorts. Weddings are another market we cover. Lots of people have
destination weddings, and that’s something we can do for the
outsider.
