Beginning Sept. 7, Rosewood Mayakoba will close in order to enhance select guest accommodations, dining outlets and public spaces. The 1,600-acre property offers 130 suites with private plunge pools, rooftop sundecks, outdoor showers and individual boat docks.
As part of the two-week, $1.5-million improvement project, outdoor seating in Beachside Lagoon Suites will be refreshed, including a two-person hammock, chaise lounges and a dining table. Double showers will also be added to this suite category. Additionally, four Mayakoba Suites will be transformed into two-bedroom suites, and the the resort’s four on-site dining venues will be enhanced. The property will reopen on Sept. 22.
