Those who dream of skiing like a pro one day don’t need to fly to the Alps the next time there’s snow — they can plan a trip to Mexico instead. Hard Rock Hotels has announced a partnership between the All Inclusive Collection — which leads Hard Rock’s sales and marketing efforts for luxury resort properties in Mexico and the Caribbean — and Camp Woodward, a lifestyle and action sports facility operator. The partnership will bring adventure sports programs to Mexico’s Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in 2016.
A new facility called Woodward Riviera Maya will open at the resort and provide guests with the unique opportunity to snowboard and snow-ski indoors. Woodward Riviera Maya will also feature skateboarding, BMX, parkour, cheer and hip-hop dance programs. In addition, both teenage and adult guests can partake in a trampoline program. The programs will be instructor-based and available to guests with resort credit and to non-hotel guests for a fee.
Woodward Riviera Maya will feature more than 20,000 square feet of equipment and skateboarding/BMX parks. Guests will also have access to a cafe and snack bar, a tumbling floor and a DJ booth on the top floor. The facility is designed to showcase the innovative lifestyle and sports offerings of Woodward while also maintaining the trademark aesthetic of Hard Rock Hotels. With the launch of the Woodward facility, the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya will feature the first action-sport facility in Mexico of its kind.
