By now, we’re all begrudgingly aware that guacamole costs extra. At Grand Velas Los Cabos, however, the creamy avocado dip dulls in comparison — both in price and taste — when considering the fixings that comprise its new $25,000 taco offering. Artfully arranged in a gold flake-infused corn tortilla are Kobe beef, black truffle brie cheese, langoustine and Almas Beluga caviar that’s sourced from Iranian Beluga fish (about 2 pounds of the stuff is valued at upward of $25,000).
Don’t expect to find the salsa topping at your local grocery store, either: It’s prepared in-house from dried Morita chili peppers, civet coffee (made from the excrement of the Asian palm civet cat) and Ley .925 Ultra-Premium Anejo tequila. If money’s truly no object, a table for two can throw in another $150K for their own bottle of the same tequila to drink. Bottoms up!
