Charles David Anderson passed away Sept. 10, from complications brought on by leukemia.
Chuck was born in Los Angeles, California on Aug. 18, 1935, but his family relocated to Anchorage Alaska when he was ten. Chuck graduated from Anchorage High School in 1953 and then moved back to the lower 48 to attend college at the University of Washington where graduated in 1959.
He began his career in the travel business with Arctic Alaska Tours (Westours) and Northwest Airlines. In 1970 he founded Professional Travel Service, a business that is still operates in downtown Kirkland.
Known as the "King of Kirkland," he loved the city he lived and worked in. He will be especially missed by his partner Bud, his daughter Valerie and her husband Mike, and his two sons, David and Derek as well as his beloved grandchildren; Mikie, Katie, Scott and Dylan.
