At a time when world ocean cruises are all the rage, AmaWaterways has announced the closest river equivalent: a 46-night, seven-waterway voyage. Scheduled for June 1, 2023, the longest-ever river journey will traverse 14 countries onboard four of the line’s European riverboats.

The initial response has been remarkable since we first teased the news of this experience, and I am confident that we will exceed expectations when we set sail in June 2023, creating unforgettable memories for all of the 144 adventurous guests onboard.”
Clients will enjoy a selection of more than 130 complimentary shore excursions, as well as included transfers between ships; free laundry and portage service; all gratuities onboard and during tours; and a dedicated Cruise Manager to oversee the entire journey.

Credit: 2021 AmaWaterwaysThe voyage will be broken up into four parts. On June 1-8, AmaLyra will sail through France on the Seine roundtrip from Paris. On June 8-13, the AmaKristina will continue on the Saone and Rhone rivers from Lyon to Tarascon, France.
From June 13 to July 4, AmaPrima will head from Basel, Switzerland, to Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Vilshofen, Germany, along the Rhine, Moselle and Main rivers. And on July 4-17, AmaVerde will finish off from Vilshofen, Germany, to Giurgiu, Romania, on the Danube River. Along the way, a total of 17 UNESCO World Heritage sites will be showcased.
Reservations for the Seven River Journey open today and begin at $25,999 per person for a double occupancy, Category E stateroom, plus port charges.
