Natural Habitat Adventures Expands New Women-Only Itineraries

Natural Habitat Adventures (Nat Hab) has announced an expansion of its Women in the Wild series, a collection of guided small-group nature journeys exclusively for women travelers.

The series, launched in 2023 and offered in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund, has seen a 75% increase in capacity over the past year, with plans to double that again by 2025.

"Nat Hab's Women in the Wild adventures offer a supportive and uplifting environment where women can explore nature under the passionate guidance of our women Expedition Leaders," said Renata Haas, head of Nat Hab's Head of Adventures, North America. “Our women-only departures build an immediate and meaningful community while empowering women to reconnect with their inner ‘wild.’”

The trips, led by women Expedition Leaders, include scientists, wildlife biologists and conservationists. They are designed for women of all ages, whether traveling solo, with friends, partners, or family members.

Groups average nine guests and aim to facilitate connections with local women in the destinations visited.

New Women in the Wild trips include:

 - Alaska Bear Camp in Lake Clark National Park

- Beluga Whales & Arctic Wildlife of Churchill in Manitoba

- East Greenland Arctic Adventure

- Iceland: Circling the Land of Fire & Ice

- Kingdom of the Monarchs in Central Mexico

- Natural Jewels of Costa Rica

- Secluded South Africa safari

These trips focus on wildlife encounters, cultural experiences, and conservation efforts. They also highlight the roles of women in local communities and conservation projects.

"The impact of bringing women together to intimately witness the natural world spurs a ripple effect for active and meaningful discourse and change," Haas said. ““This communion is at the core of our brand ethos and our larger mission of fostering environmental activists, conservationists, and changemakers.”

The Women in the Wild series supports community-based conservation projects that address biodiversity loss and climate change, issues that disproportionately affect women in many regions.

Bookings for Women in the Wild trips are now available for 2024 and 2025.
