Rock enthusiasts can cement their love for rocks by attending the 62nd Annual Rock, Gem and Mineral Show, hosted by the Natrona County Rockhounds Club on Saturday, July 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, July 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel in Casper, Wyo.
Besides fun-filled games available to all ages, there will also be silent auctions, raffles, displays, vendors and grab bags. The show will feature rough rock, rock hounding equipment, lapidary supplies and finished jewelry.
Admission is $3 for adults and free for attendees younger than age 11 and more than 65.
The Natrona County Rockhounds Club started in 1946 and currently boasts 57 members. The club house is located in Mills, Wyo. and provides members with both a meeting and shop area where they can work on their lapidary projects. Classes are offered throughout the year and there are field trips in the summer.
