The Hyatt Santa Barbara recently announced that it has completed extensive updates to all guestrooms, meeting rooms and public spaces.
“We’re very proud of the enhancements made to the Hyatt Santa Barbara,” said Barry Prescott, the resort’s general manager. “We worked diligently to preserve the historic value of the hotel, while still making it feel new and contemporary. There is a lot of competition here and we wanted to create a hotel that can easily accommodate families, couples, wedding parties and business travelers with comfort and style and without pretention.”
The $12 million renovation was completed just in time for the upcoming summer season. Located next to the ocean, the Hyatt Santa Barbara has plenty to offer in its updated design which focuses on retaining its Spanish architecture and history while introducing a more stylish, state-of-the-art appearance. The resort’s 80-year-old history has been carefully retained but modern amenities have been added. Its 171 guestrooms, with either ocean or mountain views, have been redone with a more beach-like atmosphere in their decor. Likewise, public spaces, such as the pool deck and area, have been remodeled extensively with new landscaping. The on-site Oleastro Spa and American cuisine themed restaurant, Bistro 1111, have each been modernized as well. The Hyatt Stay Fit Gym has also been outfitted with upgraded equipment and amenities.
