Travel advisors can now apply for the 2024 Future Leaders in Travel Retreat, powered by TravelAge West. The event will be held from Aug. 25-28, at Hilton La Romana in the Dominican Republic. Accepted participants are fully hosted at the event, with access to all programming, including meetings with supplier representatives.

Within days of opening entries, we received hundreds of applications from qualified advisors who are looking to take their careers and our industry to the next level.

Future Leaders is an innovative event for the next generation, connecting travel buyers between the ages of 22 and 40 with key travel sellers representing cruise and river cruise lines, hotels and resorts, tour operators, destinations, airlines, professional services and more. (A full list of participating suppliers can be seen here.) The event  is designed to build authentic, fruitful relationships that will boost business on both sides.

Attendees of the four-day event will take part in collaborative content sessions, one-on-one meetings, social events for organic networking and outdoor activities. Travel advisors will further benefit from educational sessions that promote professional development, share best practices, find solutions for common business problems and teach new skills.

Ideal candidates demonstrate ambition, drive and passion for the travel industry, and are excited about impacting the future of travel. These advisors are also motivated to find innovative ways to sell travel, support their colleagues and take their business to new heights.

“Within days of opening entries, we received hundreds of applications from qualified advisors who are looking to take their careers and our industry to the next level,” said Jacquie Hurst, director of trade recruitment & engagement for Travel Weekly and TravelAge West Events. “It’s inspiring to see so much passion for the future of the travel trade and to learn about what the next generation has their sights set on."

A limited number of 2023 Future Leaders have also been chosen to return as Guides for the 2024 retreat. In addition to contributing to the educational content of the event, Guides are on hand to help first-time attendees navigate and get the most benefit from the conference.
