According to Forbes, developers recently released details of a new resort to be built next to Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah. Called The Mayflower Mountain Resort, the 5,600-acre complex will include three hotels for a total of about 800 rooms. Mayflower is projected to open in time for the 2021-22 ski season.
Why It Matters
If all goes as planned, Mayflower will be one of the largest recent ski developments in the U.S. In addition to the hotels, the resort will feature retail space, a convention center, condos, homes, five to seven new ski lifts and more. For travel advisors, this new area will greatly increase the offerings in what is already one of the world’s most popular ski destinations.
