With its diverse array of culinary traditions, the Caribbean has long been a rewarding destination for foodies. The region’s gastronomic appeal is continuing to expand this year, as a new generation of hotels, restaurants and events provides even more ways to delight the palate.
Whether it’s hands-on cooking, chef-led tastings or simply new menus, there are lots of delicious reasons to visit the Caribbean this year.
New All-Inclusive Dining Options
In Punta Cana, the recently opened W Punta Cana, Adult All-Inclusive positions food as a key centerpiece of the stay. The resort eschews humdrum buffets in favor of a portfolio of specialty venues — with some exceptionally memorable opportunities to sample local Dominican dishes. Scena, for example, showcases Caribbean flavors with contemporary style and local ingredients, while Satsuma Rooftop specializes in sushi and seafood in a picturesque setting.
In nearby Miches, the new Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton also allows clients to savor local specialties and international items. Its flagship restaurant, Toa, curates menus that celebrate recognizable Dominican favorites such as mofongo made with Barahona plantains and rum-braised goat risotto, while Yuca showcases flame-cooked Caribbean recipes served family-style.
Travelers headed to Turks and Caicos will find new options at Beaches Turks & Caicos, where Treasure Island Beach Village opened March 1. Among the new dining venues is Butch’s Island Chop House, which focuses on steaks and seafood, and Pinta Food Hall, which combines global flavors in a communal setting that works well for vacationers looking to satisfy diverse cravings.
Standalone Restaurants and Experiential Dining
There are lots of ways for travelers to experience cuisine in the Caribbean, both on and off hotel properties. In Antigua’s Jolly Harbour Marina, for example, the new Fat Urchin serves casual fare and shows sports programming downstairs, while its Coastal Kitchen, located upstairs, features house-made pastas, oysters and fresh local seafood. Live music enhances the relaxed vibe on multiple nights every week.

New culinary creations are the big draw at Malliouhana in Anguilla, where signature restaurant Celeste by Keith Gumbs has reimagined its menu to showcase refined Caribbean cuisine. The property has also expanded its interactive experiences, with new Anguillian cooking classes and workshops that highlight rum and Caribbean spirits.
Intimate dining is an especially photo-worthy experience in St. Lucia at Jade Mountain, which now offers full-moon dinners that are limited to eight guests and feature a live-prepared six-course tasting menu on the Celestial Terrace. In the Bahamas, meanwhile, The Cove Eleuthera has debuted a weekly Taste of Bahamas program that combines live Junkanoo music with a themed dinner at Freedom Restaurant & Sushi Bar, featuring popular local dishes such as conch salad and Bahamian maki.
Fans of private-island settings, meanwhile, can seek culinary joy in Belize, where Cayo Espanto features menus that are customized prior to arrival; the hotel has a new executive chef, as well as an enhanced Catch and Cook excursion that allows guests to fish for ingredients before returning for a chef-prepared meal tailored to their preferences.
New Restaurant Concepts and Beverage Programs
Aruba has become a hot spot for new openings on the culinary scene. At The St. Regis Aruba Resort, which opened in 2025, a bloody mary master class teaches guests to create the Bon Bini Mary, a local version of the legendary cocktail, while the rooftop Akira Back restaurant marks the Michelin-starred chef’s first Caribbean location.
Also offering a decidedly upscale vibe is The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba, where the newest dining venue is Noori Sushi Lounge. The venue specializes in contemporary Japanese cuisine and also offers sushi classes as well as evening chef’s-table dining. Also new at The Ritz-Carlton is the Pearl Rum Cabinet, a bar that focuses on curated pours from a local distillery.
Additional new dining options in Aruba include Shore Club at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino, where sushi, ceviche and bento-style plates are the specialty, and Don Esteban Gourmet at Radisson Blu Aruba, which serves Spanish tapas. The Radisson also just debuted Blu Tap Cider, described as the Caribbean’s first dedicated cider bar.

Culinary Festivals and Events
Special events provide still more opportunities for immersion in the Caribbean’s local culinary scene. Puerto Rico Food & Wine Festival, for example, will take place in April, with tastings, seminars and cultural programming. Puerto Rico Cocktail Week, meanwhile, will focus on mixology education and guest-bartender events in late May.
Additional events include Antigua and Barbuda Culinary Month, which spans the entire month of May with prix fixe restaurant menus and multiple local dining experiences, and Nevis Mango Festival, which takes place in early July with tastings, demonstrations and classes celebrating the island’s popular fruit. In St. Barth, Le Barthelemy Hotel & Spa is continuing its guest-chef dinner series at Abyss restaurant, and the property has also debuted a new Stargazing Experience Table, complete with zodiac-themed cocktails.
