On the tail of its January grand opening, Casa Dorada Los Cabos
Resort & Spa has made its contribution to the destination’s
burgeoning roster of spa offerings with the debut of its new
7,000-square-foot Saltwater Spa.
Marrying both Eastern and Western spa philosophies, the
facility’s distinctive signature services include a Chinese Balls
Stimulating Massage and a Bamboo Massage that incorporates genuine
bamboo poles and green tree oil.
“The saltwater bath ritual that guests receive with each service
is based on the notion that saltwater properties have long been
considered highly therapeutic,” said Gloria Reyes, spa director.
“Associated with pain relief and rejuvenation of cells, saltwater
promotes a healthy exchange of minerals and toxins allowing the
body to purge unwanted contaminants.”
Accentuated by a waterfall, pool, Japanese-style bridge and
skylighted ceiling, the Saltwater Spa is soothing and Zen in its
design. Ten treatment rooms, a cold plunge pool, sauna, steam room
and Jacuzzi entice guests to linger after services are
complete.
A full menu offers facials, massages, exfoliations and salon
services, including manicures, pedicures, waxing and haircuts.
Guests can choose to enjoy their massage treatment at the luxury
spa, in the privacy of their guestroom or with an ocean view of
famous Medano Beach. The spa’s fitness studio offers a high impact
floor, state-of-the-art Precor equipment and iPod docking
stations.
A member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Casa Dorada is
offering a special Travel Agent Rate until Dec. 20. Oceanview
accommodations are 50 percent off rack rate, which ranges from $272
for a deluxe room to $714 for a two-bedroom suite.
"The best way for agents to tell their clients about Preferred
Hotel Casa Dorada is to come and experience it for themselves,”
said Thierry Baurez, director of sales and marketing. “The resort's
oceanview accommodations with kitchens, the Saltwater Spa and fine
dining options make it the perfect place for their clients
families, friend getaways and honeymooners alike.”
Casa Dorada features 186 deluxe oceanview rooms and suites,
including thirteen penthouse suites facing Cabo’s iconic Land's End
Rock. All rooms have marble bathrooms, whirlpool tubs, goose-down
comforters, plasma-screen satellite televisions, complimentary
wireless Internet and kitchens or kitchenettes.
Ranging from 2,000 to 4,500 square feet, lavish penthouse suites
offer multiple bedrooms, kitchens, adjacent makeup areas, furnished
terraces and balconies, ocean-facing Jacuzzis and walk-in closets.
Upon request, resort chefs will prepare gourmet meals in the
penthouse kitchens.
The resort’s 12 Tribes restaurant is inspired by the legendary
12 Tribes of Israel. Executive Chef Fabian Rios has sourced nearly
400 ingredients from 30 countries to craft an irresistible
selection of dishes inspired by the cuisines of Spain, Romania,
Israel, Yemen, Ethiopia, Russia, Armenia, Georgia, France and
more.
Entertainment thrives at B lounge, which also showcases 50
different beers including a custom mango-flavored brew. Fashionable
yet comfortable, Casa Dorada also features an air-conditioned
beachfront restaurant, private Beach Club and three swimming
pools.
Showcasing the excitement of the Baja, the property’s
three-night Wild Canyon Adventure Package covers an oceanview
junior suite, $50 credit for food and beverages, and two tickets to
the Wild Canyon Park from $1,164 plus tax and gratuity. Winter
rates are available through May 31 and all rates are commissionable
at 10 percent.
Wild Canyon is home to ten monster zip lines, including a
half-miler that’s Baja’s longest. Adding to the excitement are a
300-foot-high gondola-based bungee jump and The Dive Bomb pendulum
swing. Additional tickets are $85 for adults and $75 for children
ages 3-12.
