Club Med has announced a $14 million transformation to the Club Med Cancun Yucatan, scheduled for completion in summer 2014. The addition of 60 new family accommodations will include 30 Family Club Rooms and 30 Family Deluxe Rooms, increasing the all-inclusive property’s total room count to 436. Along with panoramic sea views, the new rooms feature a master bedroom with a separate children’s room, one-and-a-half or two baths and a terrace.
A new Petit Club Med for 2- and 3-year-olds will complement the existing children’s clubs for kids ages 4 to 17, and will be themed around “Red Feather,” the pirate bird and his merry band of sailors. The new Petit Club will have the capacity for 35 children.
For adult guests, meanwhile, the new Maya Lounge features a transformed entertainment experience, including a lounge, a bar and a nightclub. Located at the village center, this new concept transforms the former theater into a luxe venue with a modern vibe.
New dining experiences include the redesign of Las Cazuelas, which will feature two new buffet areas and expanded seating options, and La Estancia, an Argentinean grill and wine cellar.
Club Med Cancun Yucatan is available for reservations at summer 2014 early booking rates. The earlier the booking, the more clients can save on travel from May 3 to Oct. 25.
