Rancho La Puerta, a wellness resort and spa in Baja California that typically caters to adults, has announced two dedicated family weeks this summer. The dates are August 4-11 and August 11-18. The weeks are designed to allow quality time for families to do activities together, as well as time each day to pursue individual interests.
The 2012 program merges classic summer camp-style activities with a variety of learning experiences for adults and children. Daily activities include yoga, Brazilian drumming, animation, drawing, jewelry making, hula hoop skills, water sports, tennis, hiking and cooking. Adults can choose to participate with their children or partake in adults only activities. During the evening guests will enjoy semi-vegetarian family time meals with games, talks and entertaining performances.
Rates for family weeks are $3,000 per person for adults and $500 per child from 7-17 (up to two children) plus tax. Price includes transportation from San Diego, accommodation, food and beverage and activities.
