From Sept. 29 – March 31, the Discovery Center of Idaho will host the Bodies Revealed exhibition, which features real, whole and partial human body specimens that allow visitors to appreciate the complexity of their own bodies.
“The presentation of Bodies Revealed by DCI is a great opportunity to provide a very unique, rewarding museum experience to the Treasure Valley, its surrounding communities and all visitors to Boise,” said Bruce Schrepple, board president of the Discovery Center. “Bodies Revealed provides a tremendous educational and learning opportunity to our children and adults about healthy lifestyles that can and will positively change lives, resulting in improved health and well-being for our communities. In addition, it is a huge attraction with lots of learning, fun, thoughtful reflection and entertainment for everyone that attends.”
Bodies Revealed allows visitors to stand face-to-face with 12 full-body specimens, as well as more than 150 additional organs and partial specimens, all preserved through a technique called polymer preservation. Tickets for the exhibition are $18 for adults, $14 for visitors 4-17 years old and free for children under 3. Prices include hands-on exhibits.
