Visit California, the destination management organization for the state of California, has integrated Mindtrip's artificial intelligence platform into its Road Trips Hub as part of its California Active Inspiration new technology initiative.

The implementation enables visitors to transform Visit California's curated road trips and other content into personalized driving itineraries. Mindtrip's platform can also process various forms of travel inspiration from social media, videos and web content to create customized trip plans.

Mindtrip indexed Visit California's entire website and content management system to enable real-time insights, including updates on situations like LA’s recent fire closures.

"Mindtrip's partnership with Visit California once again demonstrates to the industry not only the power of AI, but the ways it can improve real world travel," said Andy Moss, co-founder and CEO of Mindtrip.

By leveraging cutting-edge technology on our Road Trips Hub, we empower visitors to effortlessly tap into the full depth and breadth of California's travel inspiration to plan their own epic journey.

The integration introduces new road trip-specific features, including multi-stop trip planning, automatic map plotting and enhanced distance routing to create logistically feasible itineraries. Users can build trips from scratch using anchor points or leverage content from Visit California's channels.

The platform's Start Anywhere functionality converts content into adjustable trip plans. The system also offers translation capabilities across the entire platform in nine languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Korean and German.

"Visit California is committed to providing travelers with the most enriching and seamless planning experience possible," said Caroline Beteta, president & CEO of Visit California. "By leveraging cutting-edge technology on our Road Trips Hub, we empower visitors to effortlessly tap into the full depth and breadth of California's travel inspiration to plan their own epic journey."

The partnership aims to showcase how California destinations can use technology to highlight local expertise while offering content tailored to individual travelers' needs.
