What: FTA Introduces a New Partnership With Signature Travel Network
The Family Travel Association (FTA) recently announced that it has formed its first partnership with a travel advisor consortium. Agents who are part of Signature Travel Network — a member-owned community of leading travel agencies representing more than 10,000 advisors in the U.S. and around the world — will now have full access to the FTA’s resources, research, expertise and industry partnerships as they promote better family travel for all clients.
Why It Matters: The Collaboration Gets FTA Resources Into More Hands
Family travel is one of the most important segments of the travel industry, and the FTA is the only association that is focused on traveling families. Being aligned with a top consortium such as Signature gives advisors more resources when planning and booking family getaways. The FTA-Signature partnership also gives Signature members a way to validate their commitment and expertise in the market.

-Through the FTA-Signature partnership, Signature’s members will have access to the FTA Advisor Certification Program, where each member can become a “Certified Family Travel Advisor;” be able to share content such as FTA webinars, newsletters, family travel tools, resources and education; and have special access to the comprehensive, annual FTA/NYU research study on family travel.
What They Are Saying: The Partnership Mutually Benefits Both Organizations
“Signature is delighted about our new partnership, as specialization is a core element of our talent development strategy,” said Gina Weyer, vice president of training for Signature Travel Network. “Family travel is a key market for Signature, and we look forward to our travel advisors leveraging FTA’s tools to grow their family travel sales.”
“The FTA has made a concerted effort to establish partnership programs for leading travel organizations, and our program with Signature will not just enable their members to become Certified Family Travel Advisors, but it also brings a wealth of information to help them better sell and serve family travel,” said Ken Shapiro, board president of the FTA and Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of TravelAge West.
