The following Hawaii resorts are currently promoting romantic packages that are perfect for twosomes, whether they’re looking for a Valentine’s Day splurge or simply a great escape.
Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach: Unforgettable, Soulful Hawaii Package (Oahu)Ready for an indulgence in Waikiki? This deal does the trick. Couples have access to the new indoor-outdoor Longboard Club at Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach. The venue is set apart from the main pool deck, where clients can enjoy a secluded cabana, breakfast, a wine tasting and pupus (appetizers).
Guests also receive a picnic lunch and one day’s use of an exotic car, which paves the way for a self-guided island tour. During the drive, they can take part in a North Shore tree-planting experience, which is part of Alohilani’s program to support native forest restoration.
Dinner for two at Morimoto Asia rounds out the package, which begins at a rate of $3,040 for four nights.
Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii: Love and Luxury Romance Package (Hawaii Island)Touting a fairy-tale Kohala Coast location, the upscale Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii resort sets the stage for a vacation that oozes romance.
Sparkling wine and strawberries get things started for this four-night spree. At the property’s Spa Without Walls, pairs unwind with a 50-minute couples massage treatment of their choice in a waterfall or seaside hale (hut). Come evening, they savor a prix fixe dinner for two on a private lanai.
Better yet, clients will stay on the hotel’s Fairmont Gold floor, a chic enclave with access to a lounge serving gourmet breakfast, afternoon tea and evening canapes. The rate begins at $549 per night.
Four Seasons Resort Lanai: Spa Suite Specials Four Seasons Resort Lanai’s elegant oasis is home to the luxurious Hawanawana Spa, which is offering two intimate options, during which clients can experience its couples suites. These rooms are furnished with rain showers, deluxe treatment beds and living/dining areas.
The Island Romance Retreat includes side-by-side facials, full-body massages, wraps and foot pampering, plus eucalyptus mineral bath sachets to keep the mellow vibes going in the guestroom ($1,200 per couple, 180 minutes).
Another spa suite special, Sweetheart Rocks, is named after Lanai’s inspirational, oceanside cliff. Clients are coddled with body scrubs, lomi lomi massages and scalp and foot masks ($830 per couple, 120 minutes).
Hotel Wailea: Celebration Suites Experience Package (Maui)Overlooking Maui’s southwest shore, Hotel Wailea recently introduced 12 Celebration Suites, which boast ocean views and artwork from the resort owner’s personal collection.
The package sets up travelers in a fashionable top-floor suite and provides champagne and fruit upon arrival, a massage for two, breakfast in bed and use of a cabana.
Also included is a private, multicourse dinner in the hotel’s treehouse, a unique hideaway facing the sea. The chef curates the meal suited to each couple’s tastes, and a dedicated concierge stands ready to further customize the amorous adventure. The rate (for five nights) begins at $8,215.
Lodge at Kukuiula: Kauai Golf & Spa PackageCatering to lovers who prefer a mix of activity and relaxation, this package from Lodge at Kukuiula includes four rounds of golf on the oceanfront, 18-hole Tom Weiskopf-designed course. Clients also receive four treatments at Hiilani Spa, Kukuiula’s vast wellness center that features everything from steam rooms and meditation gardens to idyllic cabanas and a lap pool.
Guests who book the package enjoy daily continental breakfast and exclusive access to the property’s facilities, as well.
Kukuiula patrons can choose between vacation homes with plantation-style architecture or contemporary villas with ocean and golf course views (from $779 per night).
Queen Kapiolani Hotel: Royal Package (Oahu) This promotion from Queen Kapiolani Hotel lures duos with accommodations in one of the Waikiki hotel’s newly upgraded suites, where lanais offer dreamy ocean vistas.
The magic continues with private moments such as a painting class inspired by views of Diamond Head, and an in-suite lesson on how to weave tropical blossoms and ferns into Hawaiian crowns.
Clients receive two tickets to Honolulu’s Iolani Palace, where they’re whisked back to the fascinating days of island royalty. Completing the package are cappuccinos, daily breakfast and a memorable dinner for two at the hotel’s alfresco restaurant. The price begins at $1,000 per night.
