Courting a new generation of pros and putters, Poipu Bay Golf Course on Kauai’s south shore is inviting junior golfers to play for free through Aug. 31. Young fans of the game ages 6 to 17 can take advantage of the offer, as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult. A second junior player can join the action for a 50 percent discount off the adult fee. There’s no charge to borrow junior golf clubs, with adult clubs for juniors available at a reduced rental fee.
It’s a great opportunity for up-and-coming golfers to experience the Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed oceanfront course, which recently ranked fifth on Golfweek’s “Best Courses You Can Play in Hawaii” list for 2015.
