Impeccably landscaped behind a gated entrance, Dreams Playa Mujeres is tucked away in an exclusive resort area north of Cancun. A friendly staff welcomed us upon arrival in the resort’s grand lobby, which overlooks three levels of swimming pools (two of which are infinity pools) and a miniature golf course. The property has it all: a spa inspired by Maya culture; 10 dining experiences and multiple bars; a variety of spacious accommodations; two waterparks; a lazy river for preferred guests only; kids’ and teens’ clubs; complimentary and paid watersports options; and more. Additionally, guests 18 and older have free-flow access to Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort next door.
Swimming with dolphins at the on-site dolphin habitat was a family highlight, as was our 14-year-old’s first warm-water dive experience with the on-site dive shop.
