Clients have an all-new place to stay on Kauai with the recent opening of Timbers Kauai - Ocean Club & Residences at Hokuala, a commissionable luxury resort on the island’s southeast coast.

Offering two- to four-bedroom, fully furnished dwellings as vacation rentals, the property presents upscale travelers a compelling reason to visit — or revisit — the Garden Island.

Families, friends, golfers and couples are all well-suited for the resort, according to Gary Moore, managing director of Timbers Kauai.

“Travel agents will find us easy to work with,” Moore said. “[The option] pairs well with Maui or Hawaii Island.”

Sense of Place
Setting plays a key role in Timbers Kauai’s sales appeal. Located as close as 500 feet from the shoreline, accommodations boast floor-to-ceiling windows and at least three lanais, regaling clients with dramatic ocean views.

Hawaiian culture also dictates much of Timbers Kauai’s approach to hospitality, Moore says.

“Our associates are local and true island ambassadors,” Moore said. “Our guests experience the culture through their daily activities, from the cuisine they eat to the vernacular they hear from our team.”

The resort’s staff customizes hikes, excursions and cultural pastimes for clients based on their individual preferences, whether they’re seeking the best surf breaks or off-the-beaten-path Kauai eateries.

That same sense of place permeates The Spa at Timbers Kauai, which honors ancient healing traditions by using island botanicals in its massages, facials and body treatments.

And clients get a literal taste of the destination thanks to the Farm at Hokuala, a short walk from Timbers Kauai. Managed by a local farmer, the organic community enterprise offers educational tours and experiences for guests of all ages.

Resort chefs source their ingredients from the farm as well as from surrounding ranches and waters. Lunch at the property’s Nalu’s Pool Grill brings fresh, casual dishes such as chilled soba noodles with mango, avocado and sesame ginger vinaigrette, while dinner at Hualani’s Restaurant ranges from ono ceviche to Kauai beef burgers.

For Active Travelers and VIPs
Energetic clients will like the property’s outdoor workout lanai and fitness center; family swimming pool; two-tiered infinity pool overlooking the ocean; and 17 miles of hiking and biking trails across the 450-acre resort. Young guests keep extra busy during various activities with the Keiki Adventure Club.

For golfing clients, agents should be sure to mention one of Timbers Kauai’s key selling points: the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed Ocean Course. Formerly called the Kiele Course at Kauai Lagoons Golf Club, the renovated greens feature the longest stretch of oceanfront golf in Hawaii.

Discriminating golfers can benefit from Timbers Resorts’ established partnerships with Ship Sticks, which arranges preferred rates for clients who want to bring their own clubs.

Meanwhile, private airport transfers, daily breakfast buffet and valet parking are included in the nightly rates for all resort guests.

The property has an end goal of providing an enriching, authentic vacation befitting the destination, Moore says.

“Given our boutique, independent offering, our guests experience genuine, heartfelt service and feel like Timbers’ ohana (family) when visiting,” Moore said.

Timbers Kauai - Ocean Club & Residences at Hokuala is promoting the following packages:
